Organizing tip Tuesday: The kitchen

Let’s talk about your kitchen.  One good thing to come out of Covid is the fact that people are cooking more at home.  This likely means a more healthful meal since restaurant meals are usually higher in salt and fat.  (Not to mention the yummy sauces and tempting desserts!)

But if your kitchen is disorganized and lacking countertop space, it can be very frustrating trying to put together a meal.

Here are two quick tips you can accomplish in 15 minutes or less.

1.    Clear your sink.  This is an old “Fly Lady” trick.  Just empty your kitchen sink out and scour it.  Shiny up that fixture.  Doesn’t that feel better?
Bonus points – if you have a window sill, clear off the items on there.
Congratulations.  You know have a clear spot to grab a deep breath.  😊

2.    Hang up your pots and pans.  If you have the ceiling height and can afford the price – get a ceiling pot hanging.  I had mine for years and absolutely loved it.  If that idea isn’t doable, here’s another idea.

Hang your most frequently used pans on the wall. Easy sqeasy!  I use the same pot and pan almost every day so no clattering around fishing it out of a cupboard or the oven.  (I live in a camper to the oven is storage space when not baking something.)
