Help with your move

I turned away a potential client today. What? “You’re building a business! You should NEVER turn away business!” says “common sense”.
I used to feel that way as well. But then it makes my business, well, cluttered. I am very focused on the services I offer what this sweet older lady was asking was outside that realm. She is selling her house and preparing to move.

Then she asked me The Question: “Do you pack?”

No, Nopity. Noooooo.

I don’t pack. And here’s why. My guiding principal with my business is this:

Never organize that which should be pitched (or donated or recycled.).

I have helped countless people move through the years and have cringed at the boxes we have filled and hauled to their new locations. Broken toys. Debris from previous properties. Paint cans with a few dabs of dried paint left in them. Guinea pig bedding - and there are no guinea pigs to be found.

Moving is a stressful event and with my whole being, I believe that moving clutter only adds to the stress. Not just when you’re moving but it also sets the stage for a cluttered new home.

If you are moving, I encourage you to be purging and uncluttering long before your anticipated move date. It will save you both time and money!

PS I referred this woman over to another small business who I know will take good care of her.
