Here's the deal about weight loss
Over the past year and a half, I’ve lost about 50 pounds. When people ask me how I did it, I point to Weight Watchers, now called WW. I love WW because it is doable. No special diet. Supportive community, either online or in person. And yeah, their approach is solid scientifically. So go ahead and enjoy the French fries, the piece of chocolate cake or whatever your guilty pleasure. (And no, this does not mean you’ll be enjoying it every day.)
The thing that makes this so easy, and so hard, is this. Weight loss, like weight gain, is because of many choices over a long period. For me, it was over the course of 10 years or so that the weight crept back on. It was the little day-to-day choices that I made.
Weight loss is about little choices daily. Quick fixes like a protein diet or intermittent fasting or whatever the latest fad diet, don’t work in the long run. If you fail to change your behavior with the little decisions, you will continue to struggle with your weight.
If you’re seeking to lose weight, know this: YOU CAN DO IT!
PS If you’d like to try out WW online, here’s a code for a free month-for both of us. Give it a try! I love the app and their encouraging online community.
