Clutter is a thief
Uncluttering your house is about more than getting rid of stuff. Uncluttering is a deliberate process to TAKE BACK what clutter steals from you each and every day. Why do I say this?
When I am working with a client and we are knee deep in accumulations the words I often hear are, “I’m overwhelmed!” or “This depresses me”. It’s especially heart breaking when one has to clear out years and years of accumulation from a relative’s home after they have passed. The clutter burden left behind by the departed is now the clutter burden of the loved ones.
If you can’t seem to get the upper hand in clearing clutter, I urge you to reach out for some assistance. I understand that hiring an organizer may be out of reach for you but don’t let that stop you.
There are lots of books available (pssst including mine!) but even more so, why not get a clutter buddy that you can partner with? Take turns helping out one another. And remember, slow and steady wins the race!
